Jorge Ponce

Jorge Ponce is the Financial Regulation Director at the Financial Services Superintendence of the Central Bank of Uruguay.

He previously served as Manager of Economic Research and Head of Financial Stability.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics.

His academic research has been published in leading scientific journals, including Econometrica, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Journal of Financial Stability, and the Journal of Banking and Finance.
