Carol Lago García, is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela with a Master's degree in International Finance and specialization in Blockchain technology from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles in Madrid, Spain and additional certifications from: LSE (London School of Economics), The Wharthon School and CUHK (Chinese University of Hong Kong).
In addition to designing and managing projects for national and international financial institutions with Grant Thornton, giving introductory training on the multi-sector application of Blockchain in Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi, advising some Spanish technology startups; Carol is responsible for the work done by Grant Thornton for Niuron, the first banking consortium for the knowledge and promotion of Blockchain technology in the Spanish financial sector. She is also in charge of the development project of the interbank network of immediate payments registered in Blockchain promoted by Iberpay together with the five main entities in the country: BBVA, Bankia, CaixaBank, Sabadell and Santander, adding the participation of the Bank of Spain.
