Ernesto Majó
He is currently the Executive Director of LACNIC, having assumed this role in 2024. From 2015 until his appointment, he served as Deputy Executive Director, where he played a fundamental role in institutional strengthening and the consolidation of strategic relationships. During this period, he was key in managing communication with stakeholders and in articulating alliances and cooperation projects, promoting the development of the LACNIC community in the region. Prior to his position as Deputy Executive Director, Ernesto held other leadership roles at LACNIC, including his management as the first Coordinator of the FRIDA Program and his work as Interim Executive Director between June 2014 and February 2015. His professional career before LACNIC included positions of responsibility in technology transfer and research organizations in the agricultural sector in Uruguay, as well as consultancies for the FAO and the IDB.
