Fedor Bogorodskiy
Uruguayan citizen, specialist with 32 years of experience in the field of card personalization processing and issuance for MasterCard and Visa, ATM networks, POS terminals, and e-commerce, as well as in the development of banking products.
Graduated from the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation, he began his career at the CardCenter processing center of Mastercard International in 1993. He worked on product development at the Bank for Settlements and Payments of the Ferrous Metallurgy Industry of the Russian Federation, MetallInvestBank.
In 1999, he joined the Nikoil bank team of the Lukoil oil group as Head of Financial Technology. He then served as Chief Financial Officer of the bank's subsidiary URALSIB until 2005. From 2005 to 2013, he worked on infrastructure projects for the digitalization of state services in the Saratov and Samara provinces of the Russian Federation.
Starting in 2013, he entered the capital of the Streampay bank in Latvia, part of the European Community, and served as the bank's President until 2017. In 2018, he implemented the first state cryptocurrency for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, El Petro. In 2022, he executed the first direct authorization in cryptocurrencies for the Mastercard.
In 2024, he expanded Visa International's processing technology to include clearing in cryptocurrencies for On-Us transactions. From 1995 to 2024, he was Executive Manager of Streampay (previously Universal Financial Systems - UFS), implementing processing projects for banks such as ABN AMRO AO, GARANTI BANK AO, DRESDNER BANK AO, and 43 other main Mastercard and Visa member banks in Eastern Europe, with a total processing of 12 million active cards, 32 million bank accounts, 4,823 ATMs, and 124,830 POS terminals.
