Ximena Aleman

Ximena Aleman is the co-CEO and co-founder of Prometeo, the borderless infrastructure company connecting global corporations with financial institutions across the Americas, as well as the President of the Uruguayan Fintech Chamber.

Through an API-based suite, Prometeo enables businesses to operate in new countries like a local—connecting to banks, validating accounts, and initiating and receiving payments simply, quickly, and securely. Its network encompasses over 7,500 connections across 110 countries.

Driven by a strong commitment to financial inclusion, Ximena is a passionate advocate for democratizing access to digital financial products and driving open banking adoption in the region. Since its inception, Prometeo has earned the trust of major institutions such as JPMorgan, Santander, Citi, and BBVA, backed by premier investors like Antler Elevate, PayPal Ventures, Samsung Next, Cometa, and DN Capital.
